For their tall, strong build and exceptional reputation as hunters, military messenger dogs, athletes, and companions, Airedales are renowned as the King of Terriers. Few breeds sport ‘staches and lengthy beards like these guys do—perhaps because of their regal long noses—so we call them the King of Bearded Dogs.
Whether it’s mud, water, dog food, or other debris, those beards will find it, so plan on daily muzzle washings and mopping up the drops they leave behind.
